Seneca Partners is one of the most productive independent sponsors in the US and focuses on investing in lower middle market sized companies with $2 million to $20+ million of EBITDA across a variety of industries including manufacturing, business services, healthcare services, tech services, B to C and specialty finance. Seneca closed five independent sponsor deals during 2020 and expects a similar level of activity in 2021. The firm is based in Southfield, Michigan and is actively looking to add talented individuals to support transactions and portfolio company growth initiatives.

Senior Associate Position 

A Senior Associate with Seneca will be responsible for a variety of transaction and portfolio company activities, including developing and updating complex financial models, conducting research, drafting offering and investment memoranda and management presentations, performing various analyses,  conducting due diligence and other activities necessary to support transactions and other activities. The Senior Associate will have a key role on the firm’s small transaction teams, including significant interaction with the Managing Directors of Seneca, portfolio or target company management and third-party professionals. 

Position Requirements 

• Minimum of three to five years of private equity, investment banking, consulting or commercial lending transaction experience; 
• Strong financial modeling and communication skills, analytical aptitude and research capabilities;
• Exceptional Microsoft Office software skills; 
• Self-starter, good team player and ability to be productive with limited supervision;
• Capable of defining priorities, working through conflicts and identifying solutions; 
• Strong work ethic with good time management skills and ability to meet deadlines;
• Undergraduate degree required with focus in finance or accounting preferred. 

Compensation and Benefits Package  

Overall compensation will be commensurate with experience and include salary, participation in the firm’s incentive compensation plan and other benefits program.
