Anthony W. Zambelli

During the last 35 years, Tony Zambelli has focused on advising business owners and executives with planning business strategy and profitable growth initiatives while executing acquisitions, divestitures and financing transaction activities. He has participated in more than 125 acquisitions, divestitures and financings involving lower middle-market and middle-market size companies located throughout the United States, North America, Europe, and Asia. In addition to his advisory work, Tony has been a principal investor in more than 25 privately-held companies, many of which he participates as an advisor on strategy, M&A, profitable growth, finance and other matters.
Prior to forming and co-founding Seneca Partners during 2002, he founded and served as Managing Director of Manchester Capital LLC, an investment and merchant banking firm specializing in lower middle-market size merger, acquisition and corporate transactions. Tony has also developed expertise in the formation and growth of ethnic minority owned companies, as well as assisting business executives and managers to navigate through the process of management buyout transactions.
Before founding Manchester Capital in 1998, he established and led the Great Lakes Region Corporate Finance practice for Deloitte & Touche LLP. Under Tony's leadership, the practice grew to the second largest Corporate Finance practice within North America, while achieving record profitability. Before joining Deloitte, he spent seven years as Senior Manager of the Midwest Corporate Finance practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLC (PWC) focusing on middle-market sized M&A transactions. Prior to PWC, Tony spent three years advising on acquisition and recapitalization transactions with Tunstall Consulting, a regional investment banking firm location in the Southeast U.S. Before his experience in Corporate Finance, Tony began his professional career with KPMG for over four years, and with Michigan National Corporation (a public bank holding company) for one year as Manager, gaining a broad range of accounting, finance and SEC reporting experience.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of six privately held companies providing counsel on business strategy, finance and growth. These companies serve a variety of business sectors within the manufacturing, service, technology and financial industries. Tony also serves on the Board of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, The Original, whose mission is to increase public knowledge and appreciation for contemporary fine arts and fine crafts by creating opportunities that connect artists, the community and the general public to their mutual benefit; culminating in a top-quality juried street art fair. He is the Board Chair beginning in 2019. He also serves on the Boards of Trustees of GreenPath Financial Wellness and the Housing Preservation Foundation, which are non-profit organizations that are amongst the country's largest and most successful debt management, housing counseling, bankruptcy and credit counseling agencies serving consumers throughout the U.S. Tony also served from 2007 to 2009 as a Member of the State of Michigan Pre Seed Fund Investment Committee, representing the Oakland University and Oakland County, Michigan Smart Zone. The Smart Zone evaluated start up and growth stage companies in the State of Michigan, and awarded loans of up to a quarter million dollars to fund development and growth.
He graduated from the Ross School of Business at The University of Michigan. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Michigan and Florida (inactive status), and is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth - Detroit chapter. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Zambelli is a State Certified Volunteer Firefighter for Bloomfield Village (Bloomfield Township), Michigan. He is also a supporter of the arts, avid golfer, and passionate sports fan.
