Michael C. Skaff

Mike Skaff has over 35 years of transactional, operational and senior management experience as a principal and advisor. His industry experience has been focused on healthcare and healthcare services, manufacturing, business services, information technology and specialty finance. Mike leads Seneca’s independent sponsor initiatives and focuses on deal sourcing, capital partner development along with portfolio company oversight. He is actively involved with many of Seneca’s portfolio companies, including AllTrans, BusMax, Circadence, GigNet, Lab Crafters, Lind Marine, MCA Resolve, Rebis, Specialty Rescue & Fire Service, Tactical Cleaning, Thompson Fabrication, Vivos and Wyoming Corporate Services. Prior to co-founding Seneca Partners, Mike was CEO at Detroit Oxygen and Medical Equipment Co., Inc./DOME Infusion Therapy Services and a Vice President of Home Care Operations at MedMax, Inc., a private equity funded healthcare/retail company. Mike began his career after graduate school in the Midwest Corporate Finance Practice at Price WaterhouseCoopers LLC. He earned a BS in Economics and Mathematics and an MBA with a Finance concentration from the University of Michigan. He is proficient in French and actively participates in a variety of sports including triathlons, golf and squash.

Seneca Partners is an active independent sponsor firm acquiring and growing niche businesses in the lower middle market. Tony Zambelli, Co-founder and Managing Director, has been partnering with and advising business owners and executives for more than 35 years to plan strategy and profitable growth initiatives while executing acquisitions, divestitures, and financing transactions. He has advised or been a principal investor in more than 125 transactions over his career. Tony also has developed expertise in advising minority and women owned businesses, as well as assisting senior managers to navigate management buyouts.

Prior to forming and Co-founding Seneca Partners in 2002, Tony founded Manchester Capital LLC, a M&A and private company investment firm. Before Manchester, he helped establish the Corporate Finance practice in the Great Lakes Region for Deloitte. Prior to that he was a Senior Manager in the Midwest Corporate Finance practice of PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLC (PWC) focusing on M&A transaction advisory. Before PWC, Tony spent three years advising on acquisition and recapitalization transactions with Tunstall Consulting, a regional investment banking firm located in the Southeast U.S. Before his experience in Corporate Finance, Tony began his career with KPMG, and was a Manager in the Controller’s Group at Michigan National Corporation (a public bank holding company), gaining a broad range of accounting, finance, and SEC reporting experience.

Tony currently serves on the Board of Directors of six privately held companies engaged in a variety of sectors within the manufacturing, service, technology and financial industries. He also serves as President of the Board of the Ann Arbor Street Art Fair, which organizes and hosts a top 10 nationally rated and juried art fair each summer. Tony is a Board of Trustees Member at both GreenPath Financial Wellness and the Housing Preservation Foundation, which are leading national non-profit organizations providing financial education, debt management plans and housing counseling to families and individuals throughout the country. He also previously served as a Member of the State of Michigan Pre Seed Fund Investment Committee, representing the Oakland University and Oakland County, Michigan Smart Zone, evaluating start up and growth stage companies for financing.

Tony graduated from the Ross School of Business at The University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant in the states of Michigan and Florida (inactive status). In addition to his professional responsibilities, he is a State Certified Volunteer Firefighter for Bloomfield Village (Bloomfield Township), Michigan. Tony is also a supporter of the arts, avid golfer, and passionate sports fan.




Vice President

Edward Mollison

Edward “Eddy” Mollison is a Vice President at Seneca Partners and has been with Seneca since 2018. Edward’s responsibilities include managing and developing relationships with capital partners and intermediaries, deal due diligence and execution (including CIM, financial modeling, and management presentation development), and overseeing the firm’s CRM. Prior to joining Seneca, Edward worked as a retail associate with Cabela’s and served in an accounting capacity with a freight and logistics company. Edward has actively been involved in the closing and management of Lab-Crafters, EOTech, and Michigan Chandelier Company. He is a graduate of Hillsdale College with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance and a minor in Spanish, where he was a four-year member of the Varsity football team. After graduating from Hillsdale, Edward spent a year studying at a graduate discipleship program known as the Kanakuk Institute in Branson, MO.

Tyler Crook

Tyler Crook is a Vice President at Seneca Partners having joined the team in 2021.  As an integral part of Seneca’s team, Tyler is focused on business development, executing new platform transactions, and supporting portfolio company management teams through strategic initiatives, M&A, capital formation, and operational & financial reporting processes. Prior to his current role, Tyler held previous private equity and investment banking roles at O2 Investment Partners and Robert W. Baird. Tyler is a graduate of Michigan State University with a B.S. in Accounting and M.S. in Finance. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time with friends, educating himself on a variety of topics, and exploring new social experiences.

Ari Franklin

Ari Franklin is an Associate at Seneca Partners, joining the team in 2025. His responsibilities include deal diligence and execution, financial modeling, and supporting Seneca’s portfolio companies with ongoing financial and operational analysis. Prior to Seneca, Ari was a Vice President at Palm Tree LLC, where he supported private equity sponsors across a range of pre- and post-close initiatives. He began his career at Grant Thornton. Ari earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Accounting from Michigan State University, graduating with honors, and is a licensed CPA. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, supporting Detroit sports teams, and exploring U.S. National Parks.

Dawson Sales

Dawson is an analyst at Seneca Partners, where he supports investment research, relations and reporting, along with financial modeling, and deal execution with a focus on precision and strategic insight. He holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Detroit Mercy and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Economics, and History from Michigan State University. During his undergraduate studies, Dawson participated in the FED Challenge, presenting economic policy recommendations to the Federal Reserve. His background includes high-performance roles in mortgage lending and operations management. Outside of work, Dawson enjoys reading, spending time with family, and cheering on Detroit’s professional sports teams.

Lauren Tobin

With more than 15 years of experience, Lauren serves as a critical operational leader within the firm, ensuring precision, continuity, and excellence across all administrative and financial functions. She manages the accounting and reconciliation for 29 of our investment entities—including four European accounts—leveraging deep QuickBooks expertise to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting. She oversees all intercompany monthly financials, quarterly reporting processes, and management fee invoicing with unwavering attention to detail.

Lauren leads the firm’s investor reporting and relations, providing clear, consistent communication and strengthening investors’ confidence. She manages 50 companies, overseeing renewals, compliance requirements, and corporate governance. She is also responsible for coordinating tax preparation and distributing K-1s for 35 investment holding companies, ensuring accuracy and adherence to filing deadlines.

Her operational support extends to the preparation of critical company documents, including operating agreements, subscription agreements, and the execution of NDA’s and letters of intent, directly supporting the firm’s investment activity and strategic transactions. She also manages company benefits—401(k), healthcare, and life insurance—ensuring seamless administration for the team.

Highly organized and execution-driven, Lauren leads planning for major corporate events, manages high-level executive calendars, and coordinates complex, multi-layer travel arrangements. She oversees scheduling for annual industry conferences and ensures every logistical detail is flawlessly executed. Additionally, she creates and publishes transaction announcements to our network and across social media platforms, enhancing brand presence and investor engagement.

Prior to joining Seneca in 2019, Lauren spent eight years with a prominent auction house, where she served as Office Manager, Executive Assistant, and Director of Operations overseeing daily operations and supporting senior leadership. She studied Marketing and Business Management at Northwood University and was actively involved in community volunteer initiatives throughout her time in Midland, Michigan. Outside of work, Lauren is committed to supporting local outreach organizations, regularly attending fundraising events for the Capuchin Soup Kitchen, the Pope Francis Center, and Focus: HOPE. She also enjoys spending time on the water and being with her family.
